Improving Lives Update Event - 23rd May 2016

70 people attended the event at Burton Albion Football Club (Pirelli Stadium) on 23rd May. The event was an opportunity for the CCG and Virgin Care to update local people, patients and carers on ‘Improving Lives’, particularly as the Virgin Care contract commenced on 1st May 2016. The presentation  from the CCG and Virgin Care focussed on the following:-

  • What is care coordination and what will it really mean for local people with long term conditions or for older people who need extra support?
  • What’s the Citizens’ Panel and what influence will it have?
  • What is now different about health services in East Staffs?

After the presentation, an “open conversation”   question and answer session  took place. Additional questions, that were not asked/answered at the event, were also submitted and are now available here.

Improving Lives Public Meeting due 22nd March 2016 - Change of date

Following feedback from the public and due to lower than anticipated attendance numbers, the meeting on 22nd  March is being moved to later in the spring.  It has been suggested that attendees would prefer to hear from Virgin Care once the contract is in operation.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, and will publish  the new date as soon as it is confirmed.
