Local health chiefs are urging residents to apply to join East Staffordshire Clinical Commissioning Group’s Patient Board to help improve their local NHS services.

The Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) welcomes all applicants who live or work in East Staffordshire with an interest in Health, and in particular those who represent the views of or have an interest in children and young people, black and minority ethnicities and care at the end of life. The Patient Board currently meets once a month at Burton Fire Station, Moor Street, DE14 3SU, between 9:30am and 12:30pm.

The closing date for applications is 15 September 2017. Applicants need to fill in a short form explaining in no more than 500 words why they would like to be involved, the areas they are interested in and what skills they can bring to the team.

Patient Board members commit to around 50 hours of work per year attending meetings and undertaking other projects and activities.

Following the closing date applications will be shortlisted, those selected will be notified as soon as possible, with the interviews commencing on the afternoon of 27 September 27 2017.
