The Patient Board of East Staffordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) would like to encourage anyone with an interest in mental health to attend the forthcoming Let’s Talk Mental Health event.
The event, which is supported by the Burton Albion Community Trust, will take place on Thursday May 25 from 6 – 9pm at Burton Albion Football Club, Pirelli Stadium, Burton on Trent, DE13 0AR.
This will be the third time the Patient Board has run Let’s Talk Mental Health, and over 20 exhibitors are booked to attend, including national and local organisations. Doors open at 6pm, and unlike previous years the event will be running as a drop in, with attendees welcome to ‘drop in’ at any point during the evening.
Organiser John Bridges, Vice-Chair of the Patient Board, said “We aim to give the community at least one annual event where everyone can come together to discuss issues and see what services, both statutory and voluntary, are out there for people who need them.
“The objective is to get everyone to start talking openly about mental health and hence reduce the stigma associated with this subject. We are so grateful for those people who are willing to stand up and tell their story, and we look forward to welcoming everyone on the night.
